My collection entitled ‘EK2021’ is inspired by my town’s identity which is closely associated to the 18th century windmill that stands on the town’s border. The collection is unapologetically feminine from the soft pastel shades to the voluminous silhouettes and whimsical fabrics. The collection has a modern feel with its curved shape reminiscent of Vincent Leroy’s sculptural work, whilst also incorporating classic design elements like gathered sleeves and feminine bodice shapes. The collection combines distinctive design features including contrast directional pleating, gathered layers of fabric and curved shaping.
