This collection entitled ‘Soul Contrast’ presents a series of garments made from denim that was sustainably sourced . Each look conveys an attitude of fierceness and strength which contrasts with the grunge feminine styling. Taking inspiration from the 80s and 90s rock music era. I also took inspiration from the Vatican , I was intrigued by the high collars and the powerful shoulder shaping. Each look juxtaposes sharp and striking shapes with a soft and elegant styling, however the contrast of both balances perfectly. Using deadstock fabric that would have been sent to a landfill, this collection aimed to be as sustainable as possible, proving that being cautious and purposeful can go hand in hand with creativity . ‘Soul Contrast’ reflects the wearers individuality and creativity in a sustainable and versatile fashion collection.
