Lines of Laughter sets out to discover what it means for us to laugh. On the surface, our laughter conveys a unique level of relaxed happiness that bonds us together. A vital precursor in our psychological and evolutionary journey, laughter has laid the foundation for our survival. Laughter can be found in all sorts of creatures, but human laughter is different and remains exclusively connected to our identity. Lines of Laughter sets out to tickle your curiosity and explore this arrangement, and most of all to remind ourselves that; "Of all days, the day on which one has not laughed is the one most surely wasted." — E.E. Cummings

My outline for 533 focused on the loss of silent films found in Dawson City, Yukon territory Canada, buried in the ground under a site of a former pool. This location was made famous by the early 20th century Gold Rush. The multi layered narrative about the silent film industries rise and fall is deeply embedded in Dawson’s narrative. The graphic language layered approach narrates the story and the use of the line represents the harsh, rugged landscape of the Yukon territories mountainous terrains and the silent film reels unearthed from the permafrost.
