The theme behind my project is what makes people happy. Photography takes me to another place where I can forget about the stress of every day life. I wanted to photograph what brings people joy and what takes them to another place where time has no bearing. I am at my happiest when I have a camera in my hand and editing on my laptop. The joy I see on people's faces when I show them the finished result is one of the many reasons I love taking photographs. My project is portrait and documentary style. I shot in Black and White, portraying people doing something they love and I will show this in my images. What each subject has in common is the passion they have for their pastime, hobby or sport etc. I discovered durning each photo shoot that not only was this their passion but it felt like it was part of their DNA. This project was a joy to work on and a project I will carry on with for the rest of my Photography journey.
I was asked to help photograph the fashion students outfits by one of their lecturers. This was my first fashion shoot and also with professional models.
