For this project, we were to demonstrate a piece of typography based on a protest topic of choice. My choice of protest was on the Mica Redress Scheme that’s currently still ongoing with homes in Donegal. With houses, including my own, being in such a state, it is a very upsetting and uneasy subject to talk about. It also means that my home will soon have to be demolished, like so many other houses in Donegal. I want people to be able to know more about the situation and the fact it’s happening to thousands of families and thousands of people are being affected by this tragic incident.
Project 1: Irwin electrical promotional poster As part of placement at Trend Marketing, I was given the task to create an accompanying poster and a Facebook cover photo to go along with a promo for Irwin Expert. It featured a kitchen consultation and all the contents for it. I had to create this for their social media, following up with a cover photo image that I had to assemble. Project 2: Sports Fitness Academy social media post/poster Also as part of my placement I had to create another poster for a company called “Sports Fitness Academy”. They were promoting their course called “Sports Fitness Academy Summer Intensive”. I created a poster to for the company’s social media and print campaign.
