The collection entitled ‘Forget the Beauty Standards’ was inspired by series of ridiculous beauty standards that have trended over recent years, from super heroin chic skinny to super Kardashian BBL curvy. This capsule collection aims to present risky, elegant occasion wear that goes against social media’s representation of ‘beauty standards’ that dictate that you must be super skinny to wear dresses with cut out pieces or that you need curves to wear revealing dresses. Using beautiful fabrics with draping, gathers and sparkles complimented with reveals of skin create an elegant, fabulous, and glamourous occasion wear range. With the intention to inspire women to wear what they want, and not be confined with what is considered as socially acceptable according to the current beauty standards hype, this range aims to build a woman's confidence to express her individual beauty.
