My collection entitled ‘OUT OF SYNC’ is inspired by the evolution of sexuality. My main source of inspiration is from the powerful style of the drag queen aesthetic, the confidence that it is worn with and being able to express who you are through the freedom of fashion. I am proposing a niche range of premium, signature styled trench coats with contemporary graphic prints and asymmetrical design features. My brand stands for individuality, innovation and being adventurous with both design and colour. Sustainability is one of the most salient topics in the fashion industry currently. It is up to us as the future designers to make the change and take sustainability seriously. For my collection, I sourced deadstock fabrics that from other designers garment production. This is a sustainable end use of redundant fabric and does not require additional virgin materials. My vinyl placement prints are an efficient and eco-friendly method of adding a point of difference to the range with minimal waste.
